 Every year in the UK, we purchase approximately 3.7 million tonnes of plastic products, with only 842,000 tonnes being recycled. Much of this plastic is in disposable products such as plastic packaging that end up in landfills. With the growing concerns over our countries Economically Footprint, Peter Allen Eyewear wanted to offer an alternative.
Our delightful Bamboo Ready Reader can be fully recycled, after disposing of the lenses. The front of the frame is made from High-End Polycarbonate, which is completely recyclable, keeping these readers Environmentally Friendly,  The arms have been crafted out of Biodegradable Bamboo, making these reading glasses arms as Eco-Friendly as possible. The Bamboo has been reasonably sourced from the remote mountains in Zhejiang Province, China. An area that is not inhabited by Pandas.  For every Bamboo plant used, our supplier will plant another Bamboo plant in its place.
